This position requires an experienced Oracle DBA to join a dynamic and friendly development team. The successful candidate will make significant contributions to the mobile payments industry by bringing engineering excellence in innovating new features and functions in customer-centric applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases (12c/19c and later) in Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Configure RAC (Real Application Clusters), ASM (Automatic Storage Management), and clustering for high availability.
- Manage Oracle listener, network services, and connectivity.
- Proactively monitor database health and availability using OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager) and custom monitoring scripts.
- Perform advanced SQL query tuning, indexing strategies, and optimizer statistics management.
- Utilize AWR, ASH, ADDM reports for performance diagnostics and tuning.
- Optimize schema design, partitioning strategies, and storage allocation.
- Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions using RMAN, Data Guard, and RAC.
- Configure and manage standby databases (physical/logical) for DR readiness.
- Validate backup integrity and conduct regular DR drills.
- Guarantee RPO/RTO compliance and high availability SLAs.
- Implement data encryption (TDE, Data Redaction, Network Encryption) and access control policies.
- Enforce security standards aligned with regulatory guidelines.
- Manage database auditing, logging, and compliance reporting.
- Develop shell scripts, PL/SQL scripts, and Ansible/Terraform playbooks to automate recurring DBA tasks.
- Automate database cloning, user provisioning, backups, and monitoring tasks.
- Support integration of database operations into CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements:
- Experience in fintech, banking, or lending domain.
- Knowledge of GoldenGate or advanced replication solutions.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized database deployments.
- Strong expertise in Oracle 12c/19c database administration.
- Bachelor's / master's degree in computer science or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in mission-critical environments.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to NoSQL databases or Big Data ecosystems.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and customer focus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with developers and DevOps teams.
