Job Opportunity: Major Incident Manager

Job Description:

The Major Incident Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring minimal business disruption during incidents. This professional is responsible for analyzing and facilitating immediate responses to incidents affecting groups of end-users, providing guidance on moderately complex to complex incidents.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and expedite response to incidents impacting multiple users
  • Advise on moderately complex to complex incidents, including significant events and management communications
  • Engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to resolve service issues quickly, minimizing business impact
  • Create documentation for incident details as per exit criteria for Problem Management
  • Communicate incident status across various levels of the organization
  • Provide direction and coaching to technical support staff involved in the incident
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and lead matrixed groups
  • Utilize strong interpersonal skills for collaboration, negotiation, and communication with diverse audiences
  • Demonstrate leadership presence, authority, and responsibility to prioritize, track, and drive execution in high-pressure situations
  • Possess working knowledge of infrastructure components and interrelationships associated with WAN, network access, authentication, email, and other collaboration tools

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience as an Incident Manager
  • Strong leadership abilities with capacity to prioritize, track, and drive execution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and lead matrixed groups
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure components and interrelationships
