Paytm is India's leading digital payments and financial services company, dedicated to driving consumer and merchant adoption on its platform through various payment use cases. The company provides consumers with services like utility payments and money transfers, while empowering them to pay via Paytm Payment Instruments (PPI) like Paytm Wallet, Paytm UPI, Paytm Payments Bank Netbanking, Paytm FASTag, and Paytm Postpaid - Buy Now, Pay Later. To merchants, Paytm offers acquiring devices like Soundbox, EDC, QR, and Payment Gateway, where payment aggregation is done through PPI and other banks' financial instruments. To further enhance merchants' businesses, Paytm offers commerce services through advertising and the Paytm Mini app store. Operating on this platform leverage, the company then offers credit services such as merchant loans, personal loans, and BNPL, sourced by its financial partners.
About the Team:
EDC Retail – EDC is one of Paytm's business tools to help merchants grow and manage their businesses through simplicity and data-driven technology.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate should be capable of increasing EDC machine sales through proper channels to merchants across multiple locations. Key responsibilities include creating an inspiring team environment with open communication, driving swiping device sales, resolving merchant queries, driving overall merchant engagement, hiring and building a team, setting clear team goals, delegating tasks, overseeing day-to-day operations, monitoring team performance, reporting on metrics, motivating team members, discovering training needs, providing coaching, listening to team members' feedback, resolving issues or conflicts, recognizing high performance, rewarding accomplishments, encouraging creativity, and suggesting team-building activities.

1. High-level drive, initiative, and self-motivation are essential. 2. Team handling experience is necessary. 3. Identifying and meeting potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network is crucial. 4. Good exposure in cold calling, pre-sales, and lead generation is required. 5. Good communication and negotiation skills are a must. 6. Graduation or post-graduation is a minimum educational requirement.
