Manager - Payments and Reconciliation Specialist

Role Purpose:

The Manager will be responsible for advancing our mission by leading the payments and reconciliation team. This includes managing day-to-day activities, ensuring effective operating models, and complying with SLAs.

The responsibilities entrusted to this role include:

  • Managing reconciliation and settlements activities to maintain an efficient operating model.
  • Processing all payments and transactions within pre-set turnaround times and ensuring SLA compliance.
  • Identifying key opportunities in process, technical, and human interfaces to develop and implement plans that capitalize on these opportunities.
  • Ensuring operational risk is effectively managed and addressed in all aspects of payments and settlement functions.
  • Leading projects related to payments and reconciliation to ensure timely completion, achievement of objectives, and cost efficiency.

This role requires strong technical and analytical skills, as well as experience working in a team-based environment.

What matters in this role:

  • Relevant work experience: Preferably from International Payment Gateways, Fintech, Acquiring settlement and Banks in merchant's settlement and reconciliation experience.
  • Years of work experience: Minimum of 5 years of banking experience and proven leader with predominant experience of merchant's settlement and reconciliation of payment Gateways transactions, refunds, cash management and nostro reconciliation, etc.
  • Qualification: Minimum of graduation from a recognized University, Preferred choice will be from the accounting background (B.COM)
