Job Title: Payments Processing Specialist

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all types of payments, including physical cash/valuables transactions. This involves capturing payment transactions, ensuring adherence to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and identifying potential areas for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process items in accordance with procedures and cut-off times.
  • Assist the team in day-to-day operations, liaise with sending locations as necessary.
  • Communicate process-related clarifications to the team.
  • Collate data regarding process issues and communicate them to the Manager.
  • Perform EOD functions, maintain relevant records.
  • Ensure self-assessment reports and backup papers are signed and countersigned by the Team Manager.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Escalate issues to supervisors and managers as per the escalation procedure.
  • Keep Team Manager advised of exceptional occurrences.
  • Ensure compliance with internal regulations and adequate follow-up of processes laid down.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
