About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team in Ontario. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will provide technical assistance and support to users of the Student Information System (SIS) implemented across all onboarded school districts in Ontario.

Job Responsibilities
  • Analyze and resolve technical problems for school districts
  • Act as a technical resource for Level 1 staff in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving incidents related to SIS application problems via telephone
  • Be the primary point of contact for Customer Level 1 support
  • Manage tickets and customer expectations to meet operational Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Provide SIS guidance to school district clients
  • Work with Agile feature teams to resolve SIS-related problems
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding information being processed, stored, or accessed by school districts
  • Document problems and resolutions for future reference using service desk tools, including ASP
  • Create and update standard operating procedures, FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles for internal and external users
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience in a service desk environment
  • 1 year of Level 2 service desk support experience (preferably within a MPLS network environment)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with school district clients and service providers
  • ITIL certification or experience with ITIL-based ticketing systems
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, Aspen, and WordPress (or equivalent)
  • Strong initiation and troubleshooting skills
  • The following certifications are highly desirable: Network Certifications, HDI Support Center Analyst Certificate
  • Agile Scrum Foundation Certificate
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal with difficult clients
  • Self-starter and independent learner
  • Good written and oral communication skills
