Job Overview

The position of Chief Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for overseeing all quality assurance and control processes to ensure products meet regulatory standards, customer expectations, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality control systems, policies, and procedures that align with industry best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal quality standards through regular audits, inspections, and testing processes across all production stages.
  • Supervise the quality control team to monitor and evaluate the production process, ensuring consistency and safety.
  • Address any quality deviations or non-conformities promptly and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain certifications and compliance with industry standards (ISO, BRC) and ensure proper documentation of all quality control processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during inspections and address any concerns or recommendations.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives for product quality and process efficiency by working closely with the R&D, production, and procurement teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and technologies to ensure the organization remains competitive and compliant.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in quality control, preferably in the food industry, with a strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality control methods.
  • Proven track record of implementing effective quality control systems and improving product quality and process efficiency.
