Seeking an experienced Senior Vice President to lead our commercial and regulatory matters.

About the Company

We are a payment solutions company that enables online merchants to accept, process, and disburse payments through APIs. We focus on building plug-and-play products to solve end-to-end business challenges across sectors.

We have been granted Full Authorization from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for payment aggregator license.

Job Description

You will counsel the business on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters, including negotiating with regional and commercial banks. You will work directly with the business in structuring, drafting and negotiating commercial transactions; provide day-to-day advice; resolve issues that arise in existing commercial relationships; and handle pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.

You will manage Merchant agreements and Litigation if any. You will also manage employee or company related policies, processes and offer letters from a legal perspective.

You will develop and implement legal procedures and policies to ensure the company's compliance with applicable laws.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong educational background, including a bachelor's degree in law or a related field acquired from an accredited institution. A master's degree in law or business administration will be welcomed.
  • 3+ years of legal experience (with at least two years at a law firm) preferably with some portion of that experience in payments, fintech, financial regulatory, data protection, technology or commercial transactions.
  • Natural leadership and management skills, including an ability to communicate in an assertive and clear manner to those who have a strong understanding of the law, and those with novice knowledge.
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills, demonstrating your ability to assess and understand complex legal issues, and provide strategic advice.
  • A leader in ethics, integrity and diversity and inclusion campaigns. Excellent business acumen in regard to understanding business operation and objectives, permitting your provision of legal advice aligning with business strategy.
