High-Performance Computing ProfessionalHPC Role Overview

The HPC role is a pivotal position within our organization, responsible for administering and maintaining high-performance computing clusters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cluster Administration: Ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance of HPC and VDI clusters.
  • User Account Management: Managing user accounts for HPC onboarding and offboarding, guaranteeing secure access and compliance with company policies.
  • AMI Image Creation and Maintenance: Creating and maintaining AMI images in AMI accounts, ensuring up-to-date and secure environments.
  • Linux Operating System Installation and Configuration: Installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux operating systems on HPC clusters, ensuring compatibility and security.
  • Component Support and Integration: Providing support for HPC necessary components and native services by coordinating with respective providers.
  • AWS Managed Active Directory Support: Offering support and management for AWS Managed Active Directory, ensuring secure and compliant environments.
  • Platform Upgrades and Compliance: Performing continuous upgrades to the HPC platform and related components, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with other teams in testing and migrating/installing engineering applications to the platform.

For this role, we seek a highly motivated and experienced HPC professional who can provide progressive system administration, preferably in a Redhat/CentOS Linux environment. Experience with AWS Cloud formation templates to build infrastructure for HPC and storage Amazon FSx for Netapp and Lustre is also desirable.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication and collaboration abilities.
