Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Expert

As a strategic sourcing expert, you will be responsible for fostering effective collaboration and ensuring strong communication with key stakeholders and colleagues to deliver defined business goals.

You will also develop key stakeholder matrices per category/location, maintaining regular engagement and driving high levels of stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Sourcing Strategy
  • Perform spend and contract analysis to identify sourcing opportunities and drive cost reduction initiatives.
  • Formulate category-specific models for appropriate business needs and work with clients and colleagues to define and implement IT strategies and sourcing area plans.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing plans to meet business objectives.
  • Initiative Management
  • Lead and execute IT sourcing projects from end-to-end in line with agreed timelines and service quality.
  • Deliver allocated savings targets as assigned to categories and locations through the effective management of sourcing initiatives.
  • Ensure a high level of ethics in supplier and/or stakeholder engagements.
  • Support and Collaboration
  • Provide sourcing subject matter expertise, solutions, and support client engagements and pitches.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide sourcing planning and execution of projects across a dynamic, multi-client environment.

Requirements:

Qualification:

  • University degree (ideally in economics or Supply Management and/or Legal) or industry experience equivalent.
  • Additional Sourcing/Procurement certification will be advantageous.
  • Strong oral and written English language skills.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 12 to 15 years' experience and demonstrable success in strategic sourcing ideally gained in an international environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to positively influence people to make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work independently as well as being a team-player as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Strong sourcing and contracting experience in IT infrastructure products and services, office IT products and services, and cloud and datacenter services.
  • Deep understanding of license models, service models, and IT applications and infrastructure.
  • Ability to negotiate and maintain relationships with third-party IT vendors and suppliers.
  • Highly competent in negotiations and contract knowledge with a strong ability to converse with suppliers and review contracts.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Experienced in conducting tenders and request for information/proposal/quotation.
  • Cross-category sourcing experience will be advantageous.
