Job Title: Recruitment Strategist

We are seeking a seasoned Recruitment Strategist to join our team at Merito, a prestigious university in Pune.

Estimated Salary: ₹1,200,000 - ₹1,500,000 per annumKey Responsibilities:
  • Talent Acquisition: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for academic, administrative, and support roles within the university.
  • Candidate Sourcing: Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, networking events, and university career fairs, to identify and engage potential candidates.
  • Screening and Interviewing: Conduct thorough candidate screenings, interviews, and assessments to ensure a strong fit with the university's culture and requirements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with department heads and hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide expert guidance on recruitment best practices.
  • Job Posting and Advertising: Create compelling job descriptions and post job openings on relevant platforms to attract a diverse pool of candidates.
  • Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, from initial contact to onboarding.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions and recruitment activities in the university's applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Compliance: Ensure all recruitment activities comply with university policies, as well as federal and state regulations.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of hiring strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
  • MBA degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in recruitment, within the higher education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of UGC requirements for Academic Positions, especially for senior roles like professors, associate professors, etc.
  • Ability to coordinate with vendors, external interview panels, candidates & management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
