Business Development Manager Role in Building Materials Industry

This role requires a Business Development Manager to drive sales growth and market expansion by identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key clients, and developing strategies to achieve sales targets.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the building materials market, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the building materials segment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, builders, contractors, consultants, and channel partners.
  • Achieve sales targets through effective territory planning and client acquisition.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform strategic planning.
  • Conduct client presentations, product demos, and site visits as needed.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of business with clients and channel partners.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales/business development within the building materials or construction-related industry.
  • Strong network of industry contacts (architects, builders, dealers, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Target-oriented with a strong drive for results.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
