Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Java Production Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Java development and experience in supporting production systems. This role involves ensuring the high availability and performance of our Java applications, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement fixes and enhancements to production systems.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support production systems to ensure high availability and performance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Java applications, including performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, and system failures
  • Collaborate with Operations teams to implement fixes and enhancements to production systems
  • Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents and implement preventive measures
  • Perform regular system maintenance tasks, such as monitoring logs, applying patches, and upgrading software
  • Monitor and respond to system alerts and notifications, ensuring timely resolution of issues
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and infrastructure teams, to ensure smooth deployment and integration of new features and applications
  • Document and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices for production support activities
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for production systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 4 to 7 years of experience in Java development and production support
  • Experience with troubleshooting and debugging Java applications in a production environment
  • Experience on Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace, ServiceNow
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN) and build tools (Maven, Gradle)
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting
  • Solid knowledge of Java programming language and related frameworks (Spring boot micro service, etc.)
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues
  • Proven excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
