People Operations Specialist

The role of People Operations Specialist is pivotal in driving the success of our organization. As a key individual contributor, you will oversee the management of benefits operations, vendor communications, and system management. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with US and Canadian benefits requirements, handling employee queries, vendor escalations, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless benefits delivery.

Our ideal candidate brings 4–7 years of experience in end-to-end benefits operations with strong exposure to US and Canadian benefits. You will be responsible for managing employee eligibility, coverage start/end, and ongoing maintenance of benefits records. Additionally, you will process and record benefit enrollments, life events, and terminations in HRMS and related systems.

Vendor & Employee Communications

  • Act as primary liaison with external benefits vendors.
  • Manage vendor requests, escalations, and troubleshooting.
  • Handle employee requests, mandatory notifications, and issue resolution with a strong customer service focus.

System Operations

  • Monitor feeds, timings, reporting, and manual interventions in benefits platforms.
  • Support testing and configuration during open enrollment and system changes.

Financial Operations

  • Validate and process vendor invoices.
  • Conduct reconciliations across Dayforce, vendor records, invoices, and payroll.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Support open enrollment, ACA/COBRA (US), and provincial benefits compliance (Canada).
  • Assist with 5500 filings, census files, and insurance audits.

Issue Resolution

  • Proactively identify and resolve recurring issues.
  • Partner with US & Canada HR/Total Rewards teams for escalations and policy clarifications.
