The Economist Impact creates engaging events that bring the content of The Economist to life. We are seeking a passionate marketer to join our Gurugram office and contribute to the planning and execution of cross-channel marketing campaigns for our large-scale events portfolio.

This role offers a rare opportunity to develop marketing skills in a dynamic team aiming to double its growth in the next financial year. As a Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for executing effective marketing campaigns using a mix of channels, including web/email/print campaigns, telemarketing, social media, and PPC. You will also assist the marketing manager in managing marketing partner relationships and executing PR campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute cross-channel marketing campaigns to secure delegate revenue and attendance for large-scale events
  • Manage and execute email marketing campaigns, including automated journeys and reporting
  • Assist in the management and execution of marketing partner relationships with external media publications and industry associations
  • Monitor and track marketing performance, analyzing data to adjust campaign plans accordingly
  • Support the sales team in generating leads and maintaining the lead generation weekly report
  • Develop content for marketing materials, including emails, banner ads, print ads, digital ads, press releases, and social media posts
  • Develop a strong understanding of events and perform competitive analysis to make recommendations

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of marketing experience, with events experience a plus
  • Understanding of conventional and new customer acquisition channels, online marketing, and social media
  • Experience managing website tools like WordPress and analytics systems such as Google Analytics
  • Experience using email marketing platforms, preferably Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Eloqua
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent written English and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, intuitive, energetic, and detail-oriented
  • Driven to explore new marketing tactics and optimize traditional channels
