Job Title: Jewellery Merchandiser

The role of a Jewellery Merchandiser is to oversee the procurement, pricing, and presentation of jewellery products in retail environments and online platforms.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Product Planning: Determine the product mix, quantities, and assortments to be offered, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer preferences.
  2. Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive products. Use insights to guide product selection and pricing strategies.
  3. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels. Coordinate with the production and procurement teams to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
  4. Sales Forecasting: Predict future sales to inform production and purchasing decisions, ensuring the right products are available at the right time.
  5. Supplier Relations: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers. Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to ensure high-quality products at competitive prices.
  6. Pricing Strategy: Develop and implement pricing strategies that balance profitability with customer demand. Regularly review and adjust pricing based on market conditions.
  7. Promotion Planning: Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional activities, sales events, and new product launches.
  8. Product Display: Ensure that jewellery is displayed attractively and effectively in retail environments and online platforms. Work with visual merchandisers to create appealing displays.
  9. Sales Performance Monitoring: Track sales performance and analyze data to identify trends, best-sellers, and underperforming products. Adjust strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
  10. Customer Feedback: Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product improvements, new product development, and overall merchandising strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in merchandising, preferably within the jewellery industry.
  • Strong understanding of market trends, customer preferences, and retail strategies.
  • Proficiency in merchandising software and tools.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative flair for product presentation and display.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
