Senior Finance Manager Job Overview

Our organization is seeking an accomplished Senior Finance Manager to drive financial strategy and ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in financial planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Leadership
    • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, forecasts, and budgets for our UK client portfolios.
    • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align financial strategies with business goals and objectives.
    • Provide actionable insights on revenue growth, profitability, and cost optimization through data-driven analysis.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
    • Evaluate and ensure full compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS and relevant regulatory frameworks.
    • Oversee audits, statutory filings, tax planning, and reporting accuracy to maintain transparency and trust.
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks, implementing controls and recommending mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Business Partnering & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with the UK leadership team, investors, and external auditors to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
    • Present financial performance updates to the board, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
    • Foster cross-functional partnerships to drive operational efficiency and improve overall business performance.
  • Operational Finance Oversight
    • Manage accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and working capital effectively to optimize cash flow and minimize financial risks.
    • Lead monthly and quarterly closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate consolidation reporting.
    • Oversee treasury management, cash flow forecasting, and investment analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Technology & Automation
    • Drive the adoption of finance technology tools, such as Xero, Dext, Power BI, or similar solutions.
    • Implement automation initiatives to streamline financial reporting and compliance processes.
    • Utilize analytics to provide real-time dashboards and performance tracking, enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Mentor and lead a distributed finance team across India and the UK, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
    • Develop scalable finance processes to support future business growth and expansion.
    • Emphasize continuous learning and professional development, ensuring the team remains up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
    Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
    • CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience:
    • 7-10 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of UK accounting practices, GAAP/IFRS compliance, and taxation.
    • Proven experience in Fintech, Financial Services, or Consulting preferred.
    • Hands-on expertise with Xero, Dext, Power BI, or similar financial tools.
    • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
    • Ability to thrive in a remote-first, global environment.
