About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics and Operations Manager to join our team at Diageo's Meghalaya Unit (CMJ). This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead our logistics and procurement functions, driving efficiency and excellence in our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective logistics strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
  • Manage the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and transport companies to negotiate rates, terms, and services.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on inventory, procurement, and logistics activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of logistics and procurement functions.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, procurement, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with inventory management software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
