Job Overview:

The Ocean Freight Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing all ocean operations within the region. This involves ensuring compliance, service quality, and cost efficiency while driving process improvements.

  • This includes managing FCL, LCL, imports, and exports, as well as developing and maintaining strong relationships with carriers, NVOCCs, and vendors to secure optimal procurement rates and space allocation.
  • Furthermore, the role requires collaboration with sales teams to drive revenue growth and optimize gross profit margins.
  • A key focus area is fostering stakeholder engagement and delivering superior customer service while leading the ocean operations team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of all ocean freight operations in the West region, including FCL, LCL, imports, and exports.
  • P&L performance management for the ocean freight product, focusing on revenue, gross profit, and cost optimization targets.
  • Negotiation and maintenance of carrier, NVOCC, and vendor relationships to ensure competitive procurement rates and optimal space allocation.
