Database Administrator Role

As a highly skilled Database Administrator, you will be part of a fast-paced team responsible for the development and maintenance of our company's database systems. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our databases, providing excellent service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain database architecture, including logical and physical design, automation, documentation, installs, shell scripting, PL/SQL programming, backup & recovery concepts, and database performance and tuning.
  • Collaborate with developers to design and build new structures to support application enhancements and promote database changes throughout the Dev, UAT, and Prod databases.
  • Responsible for quarterly patch applications (PSU) and periodic database upgrades with minimal downtime in the database environment.
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and perform periodic after-hours support.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in database system implementation and administration.
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Exadata, database upgrade/migrations, backup and recovery tools (RMAN/EXPDP/IMPDP), Oracle DataGuard Physical Standby configuration, build, and support, including DataGuard Broker and replication.
  • Ability to work with multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills to solve complex database performance issues using AWR/ASH/ADDM/TKPROF/SQLT/10046 tracing/OSWatcher/CHM etc.
