PostgreSQL Database Specialist

Our ideal candidate will possess experience in high-performance database optimization, replication configurations, and complex query analysis. The successful professional will be responsible for designing and managing large-scale PostgreSQL clusters, ensuring high availability and data integrity.

  • Design and implement advanced database architectures using PostgreSQL, focusing on partitioning, indexing, and query optimization techniques.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop strategies for managing large datasets, including data partitioning and indexing.
  • Develop and maintain complex time-based queries and work with time-series databases to provide actionable insights.
  • Configure and manage PostgreSQL settings for optimal performance, including WAL buffers, checkpoint settings, and WAL retention.
  • Implement robust failover handling and recovery mechanisms during data transfers.
  • Conduct comprehensive query tuning and performance analysis using real-world metrics.
Required Skills:
  • Expert-level hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (including WAL, replication, clustering)
  • Proficiency in Docker and containerized database environments
  • Experience with time-series databases (e.g., TimescaleDB or native Postgres)
  • Deep understanding of query performance tuning techniques and database architecture
  • Familiarity with cloud-native DB services and backup/restore strategies
  • Ability to handle high-availability and failover scenarios
