Job Description

The Role of Area Growth Manager is a pivotal position within our organization, responsible for overseeing the end-to-end Sales & Distribution process in a designated area. This individual will be accountable for ensuring product availability and driving sales performance efficiently.

This includes managing Secondary & Primary responsibilities, Distributor relationships, Team Management, and inventory control. Additionally, this role involves strategizing and implementing distributor operations, motivating channel partners, and optimizing ROI.

  • Manage distribution channels to ensure timely supply to retailers.
  • Optimize distributor performance and inventory levels.
  • Implement stock management systems and guardrails for stock condition.
  • Manage secondary claims and resolve any issues promptly.

The Area Growth Manager will also focus on geographical growth, ensuring weekly flightening, monthly sales progression, and quarterly evaluations. Furthermore, this role encompasses:

  • Product development and NPD (New Product Development) initiatives.
  • CFA (Channel Functionality Assessment) management and sales operation optimization.
  • Competition benchmarking and tracking competitor activity in the region.

In addition to these key responsibilities, the Area Growth Manager will oversee spend management, including trade load planning, sales return management, and channel-specific approaches.

Furthermore, this role requires effective people management, creating a healthy work environment, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effectiveness. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for working effectively with cross-functional teams, resolving grievances, and prioritizing tasks efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales & distribution in FMCG Industry.
  • In-depth geography knowledge and excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and team management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
