Job Title: Key Financial Strategist

Job Summary:

  • The Chief Financial Officer will be a key member of the executive team responsible for the financial health and strategic planning of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies to support long-term goals and advise on business and financial planning.
  2. Oversee the preparation and approval of all financial reporting metrics, monitoring and directing the implementation of strategic plans.
  3. Prepare and present financial statements and reports, conduct in-depth analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  4. Ensure efficient operation of the finance function, managing cash flow and expense control processes. Implement best practices to maximize revenue and develop financial and tax strategies.
  5. Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile, monitor legal issues affecting the industry, and construct reliable control systems.
  6. Manage relationships with investors and investment institutions, represent the organization with bankers and investors, raising additional capital as necessary to fund expansion.
  7. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with regulations, report results to stakeholders and the board of directors.
  8. Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team, ensuring financial stability and operational efficiency.
  9. Control statutory books of accounts, monitor day-to-day transactions such as GL, Bank, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Assets.
  10. Comply with rules and regulations regarding direct and indirect taxes, preparing and filing periodic returns.
  11. Coordinate with auditors or conducting statutory audit, limited review, tax audit, cost audit, and internal audit.
  12. Establish appropriate IT structures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: CA/CPA/CMA or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible financial leadership roles.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and risk management.
    • Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting.
    • Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
