Role Overview

The Technology Lead, Managed Services will play a pivotal role in overseeing and building our managed services offerings at Horizontal Digital. This leadership position requires a deep understanding of operationalizing a Managed Services function and knowledge of the ecosystem and products being offered at our company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and build operation model and go-to market strategy for Horizontal's Managed Services practice for our clients
  • Manage, lead, and grow a team of Service Desk, Infrastructure, and Application Engineers and Associate Technology Leads, providing guidance and mentorship
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact for managed services engagements
  • Oversee the delivery of managed services including but not limited to system enhancements, user support, and system maintenance
  • Continuously analyze clients' environments; identify areas for improvement and propose and implement solutions to optimize system performance
  • Ensure the highest quality of service delivery by implementing best practices

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing a team of software development professionals
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to align technical solutions with business objectives

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related technical discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of experience with mainstream web development technologies, ideally with .NET technologies
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, or other code repository tools
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with MVC development patterns
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in direct management of software developers
  • Experience with Sitecore and/or Salesforce
  • Experience with Azure Cloud, AWS, or GCP is a plus
  • Experience with inherited codebases is a plus
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of project management fundamentals and practices
  • Proven experience interfacing with internal and external project teams
