Procurement Manager

The Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and implementing effective procurement strategies to ensure timely availability of quality materials, equipment, and services at competitive costs. The role requires vendor management, negotiation, cost control, and aligning purchases with production requirements to support smooth operations and project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement policies and strategies.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers/vendors.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts to optimize cost and quality.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve disputes.
  • Plan and forecast material requirements in line with project and production schedules.
  • Ensure timely procurement to avoid delays in manufacturing and project delivery.
  • Monitor purchase budgets and work towards cost reduction without compromising quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge of engineering/manufacturing components and suppliers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, and procurement tools.
  • Leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Supply Chain / Commerce (MBA preferred).
  • 7–12 years of experience in procurement, preferably in engineering or manufacturing industries.
