
Senior Payroll Specialist

This position involves overseeing and processing payroll for our workforce in India, ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursements while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire payroll cycle, verifying employee attendance and inputs, and resolving any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
Key Responsibilities- Payroll Management: Manage the complete payroll cycle, ensuring accurate calculation and timely salary disbursements.
- Employee Verification: Review and verify employee attendance, CTC, and all inputs to incorporate in the system for salary calculation.
- Attrite Settlements: Process full and final settlement of attrite employees within defined TATs.
- Payroll Tax Compliance: Prepare and file payroll tax returns, including quarterly and year-end reporting.
- Dispute Resolution: Resolve any payroll issues or discrepancies and proactively provide solutions to ensure statutory compliance and accuracy.
- Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and support to employees and management regarding payroll-related questions, including tax withholdings and deductions.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the HRBP to ensure accurate employee information is maintained in the payroll system.
- Reporting: Prepare reports to management summarizing payroll and tax-related information.
- Audit Assistance: Assist with internal and external audits and provide necessary documentation related to payroll and taxes.
- Awareness of payroll-related compliances: Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax (PT), Labour Welfare Fund (LWF), Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), and Gratuity, TDS return & Form 16 Issuance.
- Timely preparation and generation of challans for PF, ESI, and Income Tax, along with maintaining accurate payment records.
- Understanding of Labor compliance regulations and requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of state and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
- Strong understanding of payroll systems and software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve payroll tax issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
