Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced State Lead to oversee and drive strategic initiatives and oversee operations across Tamil Nadu. The State Lead will be responsible for managing operations, fostering key relationships, and ensuring the successful implementation of organization policies and objectives at the state level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business goals within the state. Align state-level operations with organizational objectives and drive performance improvements.
  • Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations within the state, including managing teams, ensuring adherence to policies, and optimizing processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support state-based teams. Foster a collaborative environment, provide guidance, and drive employee engagement and development.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, local businesses, and community organizations. Represent the company in various forums and events.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations. Monitor performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management on state-level operations and achievements.
  • Resource Management: Manage the allocation of resources, ensuring resources are utilized effectively to meet operational needs.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise at the state level. Implement solutions to mitigate risks and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Innovation and Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation. Drive initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Management, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably with experience managing state-wide operations or programs.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent strategic planning and execution capabilities.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong understanding of state and regulations relevant to the development sector.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and other relevant software.

Work Environment

This role may require occasional travel within the state and to the organization headquarters in Delhi with flexibility to work beyond standard business hours as needed.

Compensation

Remuneration will be competitive with Indian philanthropy pay scales and will depend upon the candidate's experience levels.

Working Hours

Monday to Saturday (10 am to 6 pm)
