About the Role:

  • Prepare high-quality dishes according to menu specifications.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in knife handling and food preparation techniques.

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of various cuisines and ingredients.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and quality control standards.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration among kitchen staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation and kitchen area.
  • Adhere to established protocols for food storage, handling, and disposal.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in upscale hotels, resorts, cruise ships, or convention banqueting services.
  • At least 2 years as a Line Cook (shipboard experience preferred).
  • Culinary school degree required.
  • Strong management skills in multicultural environments.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and people skills.
  • Superior customer service, teambuilding, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of personalized services including needs assessment techniques and guest satisfaction evaluation techniques.
  • Strong planning, coaching, organizing, staffing, controlling, and evaluating skills.
  • Intermediate computer software skills required.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles such as numbering flow and Debits/Credits.
  • Ability to write reports and establish rapport with Senior Officers and corporate office.

  • Complete one contract as Commis Cook with satisfactory performance and demonstrated leadership skills.
