Credit Risk Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining the financial stability of organizations.

This role oversees and manages the credit risk function, including developing and implementing credit policies, evaluating risks, and leading a team to collect receivables and minimize bad debts.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 4-7 years of experience in credit management, preferably in an accounts department.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders.

Main responsibilities include:

  1. Credit Policy Development: Create and implement credit control policies, procedures, and limits. Evaluate customer creditworthiness through financial analysis and risk assessments.
  2. Accounts Receivable Management: Monitor the accounts receivable ledger to ensure timely debt collection. Review and reconcile customer accounts regularly. Ensure accurate allocation of receipts.
  3. Collections Leadership: Manage the collections team to follow up on outstanding invoices. Resolve disputes and escalate problematic cases to senior management. Maintain regular contact with key customers to secure payments.
  4. Reporting & Analysis: Prepare reports on receivables, aging, DSO, bad debt provisions, and collection efficiency. Highlight high-risk accounts and overdue balances to senior management.
  5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with Sales, Legal, and Customer Service teams to resolve credit issues and support customer relationships. Liaise with external credit rating agencies and legal advisors when required.
  6. Team Leadership & Performance: Manage, train, and motivate the credit control team. Set performance KPIs and review team performance regularly.
  7. Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to company credit policies and regulatory requirements. Support internal and external audit processes.
