About Our Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our credit risk, underwriting, and portfolio management functions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in setting up and driving the credit strategy, policies, and processes aligned with business goals, while ensuring risk management standards and regulatory compliance.

  • Job Description: Lead the credit appraisal and underwriting function, including assessment of borrower risk, financial due diligence, and creditworthiness evaluation.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Create, implement, and monitor credit policies, frameworks, and processes for SME/MSME lending and supply chain financing.
    • Develop and manage large loan books with quality.
    • Work closely with business, risk, and operations teams to balance growth objectives with prudent credit practices.
    • Present credit proposals and portfolio performance updates to senior management, board, and regulators as required.
    • Built and mentor a high-performing credit team capable of handling scale.
    • Stay updated with industry, regulatory, and market trends impacting SME/MSME lending.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 8–15 years of experience in credit risk/underwriting, preferably with NBFCs, fintechs, or banks with strong SME/MSME exposure.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain finance, bill discounting, invoice financing, and related credit products.
  • Proven ability to build credit frameworks from scratch.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory norms, compliance requirements, and RBI guidelines for NBFCs.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • CA/MBA/FRM or equivalent qualification preferred.
