Job Description

As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end credit underwriting and monitoring of personal loan portfolios through digital journeys.

  • Underwriting Policies: Develop and implement policies for credit underwriting based on different product constructs to ensure consistent lending practices.
  • Credit Monitoring: Collaborate with the Data Science team to analyze underwriting models and validate their performance on existing portfolios to identify areas for improvement.
  • Portfolio Management: Determine performance benchmarks and implement course corrections as needed to optimize portfolio profitability.
  • Automation: Implement automated credit policies to minimize manual intervention in assessing creditworthiness.
  • Pricing Strategy: Develop pricing strategies based on segmentation to ensure accurate risk assessment.
  • Policy Standardization: Work towards standardizing policies and processes across the organization to enhance efficiency.
  • Portfolio Analysis: Track portfolio profitability, funnel metrics, and risk thresholds to inform business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Portfolio Analysis: Conduct regular portfolio analysis to recommend policy changes to senior management.
  2. Credit Review: Periodically review existing portfolios and conduct analysis to identify high-risk segments.
  3. Risk Mitigation: Take action to mitigate identified risks based on portfolio performance.
  4. Delinquency Management: Monitor delinquent accounts to ensure company standards are met.
  5. Process Improvement: Identify technological solutions to improve existing processes and overall portfolio management functions.
  6. MIS Analysis: Analyze various management information systems to monitor portfolio performance and risk.
New Partner Integrations
  1. Channel Partner Understanding: Understand new channel partners, their products, and target segments.
  2. Data Requirements: Identify required data from channel partners and requisition necessary information at application time.
  3. Policy Creation: Create policies based on products, available information, and prevailing models.
  4. Facilitating Data Room Exercise: Facilitate data room exercises for new customer segments.
  5. Policy Formulation: Formulate policies considering expected loss rates.
  6. Implementation Support: Monitor policy implementation, UAT, production test runs, and resolve bottlenecks.
Relationship Management

Manage relations with partners, credit reporting agencies, and assist in all credit operations of the company.

Qualifications
  • Postgraduate in Finance/Statistics/Management from A institutes.
  • BTech with MBA preferred.
Work Experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience, with 3-4 years in risk management and policy creation.
  • Fair understanding of risk performance.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Superior stakeholder management skills.
  • Hands-on experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets using data processing and statistical tools.
Skills
  • Proficient in Data Analytics, Model Validation, Policy Formulation, Portfolio Management, Stake Holder Management, Project Management.
  • Demonstrated experience in R/Python, SQL, Advanced Excel.
