Job Title: Linux System Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Server Specialist to deliver 3rd level technical support, daily compute operations and ensure the smooth running of our servers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 24/7 3rd level technical support in compliance with customer service level agreements
  • Perform daily compute operations including event management, incident response, problem management and change control
  • Install, maintain, monitor, decommission and configure servers beyond automated tasks
  • Manage storage operations based on netapp-nfs
  • Packaging and repository management as well as operating system image maintenance

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-8 years' experience in server management administration with a strong focus on linux systems
  • Hands-on experience in server installation, maintenance and decommissioning
  • Proficient in linux os operations and hypervisor operations including xen and vmware
  • Good knowledge in logical volume management, domain name system, lightweight directory access protocol and iptables
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in server downtime situations
  • Associate level knowledge in at least one public cloud infrastructure (aws, azure, gcp)
  • Basic knowledge in automation tools and scripting languages such as chef, bash and perl

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in monitoring with prometheus on docker setup and/or elk stack
  • Knowledge/experience in using git and jira
  • Familiarity with central infrastructure services including security groups, rpm, rsync, mail, active directory, chef automation, nagios and repository management
