Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Linux Administrator with 7-10 years of experience to join our team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will possess expert-level knowledge of UNIX/Linux and a proven track record of managing and maintaining enterprise-level server infrastructure. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our Linux systems, from initial implementation and configuration to ongoing maintenance, technical support, and documentation. This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple technology teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Infrastructure Implementation & Maintenance :

- Implement and install computer infrastructure, including hardware, servers, and virtual machines.

- Proactively monitor client systems daily to identify and resolve issues.

- Plan, design, and install upgrades, releases, and application patches to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.

- Perform maintenance on drivers, servers, and firmware as needed.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting :

- Provide expert-level technical support, often on-call, to promptly address and resolve issues reported by clients.

- Conduct thorough root-cause analysis and execute various testing scenarios to ensure comprehensive issue resolution.

- Coordinate with different technology teams to validate system operability and performance.

Documentation & Coordination :

- Create and maintain detailed documentation for all system-related processes, including project requirements, implementation plans, and support tickets.

- Prepare summary reports for internal management and clients.

- Coordinate and resolve schedule conflicts and project collisions.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Core Experience :

- 7-10 years of experience as a Linux Administrator.

Linux & Systems Expertise :

- Expert-level (L3) knowledge of UNIX/Linux.

- Intermediate knowledge of Red Hat/CentOS.

- Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments, including VMware.

- Strong knowledge of server hardware and software.

- Proficiency with LVM and Linux Filesystems.

- Ability to tune kernel/system parameters for optimal performance.

DevOps & Automation :

- Expert-level knowledge of automation and configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet.

- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.

Storage & Networking :

- Strong knowledge of host-based SAN migrations and experience with SAN LUN scanning and mapping.

- Knowledge of Oracle ASM and SAN Storage.

- Experience with TCP/IP, Routing, DNS, and NFS troubleshooting.

Security & Compliance :

- Experience with system security, patching, and upgrades.

- Experience with User Administration using LDAP.

Problem-Solving :

- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

- Experience with performance troubleshooting and capacity planning.
