System Operations Specialist

Overview:

Our team seeks an experienced System Operations Specialist to deliver exceptional technical support and drive server operations excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide level 3 technical support, ensuring seamless delivery of services in accordance with customer service level agreements.
  • Perform daily compute operations following ITIL processes for events, incidents, SRs, CRs, and RCAs.
  • Install, maintain, monitor, decommission, and configure servers beyond automated tasks, as well as manage storage operations based on netapp-nfs.
  • Package and repository management, including OS image maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise in Linux OS operations.
  • Familiarity with hypervisor operations (XEN and VMware).
  • Adequate knowledge of LVM, DNS, LDAP, and IPTables.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills in server downtime situations.
  • Associate-level knowledge in at least one public cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Basic knowledge of automation tools and scripting (e.g., chef, bash, Perl).
  • Proficiency in using GitHub and Jira is advantageous.
