
Strategic Mergers Specialist

The role focuses on providing strategic advice and support to clients in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring. They navigate complex transactions to maximise value in business deals.
Key responsibilities include conducting valuations, financial analysis, and developing strategies for post-merger integration. This includes creating operating models, planning integrations, and managing risks and dependencies.
The ideal candidate will have experience in deal integration and valuation realisation, with a strong understanding of post-merger integration, carve-out management, and pre-deal operational assessment and synergy planning.
- Post-Merger Integration: Develop integration strategies, operating models, and day plans. Manage risks, dependencies, and issues across functional areas, track synergies, and coordinate with function owners.
- Carve-out Management: Identify separation considerations, stand-alone costs, and assess management's plans to become standalone. Develop transitional service agreements.
- Pre-deal Operational Assessment & Synergy Planning: Conduct pre-deal operational assessments and synergy assessments.
Mandatory skills include program/project management, consulting experience, PMI, strategy and synergy assessment. Preferred skills include business development and prior consulting experience.
Educational qualifications include an MBA from a Tier 1 institute. Desired educational background includes Master of Business Administration.
