Lead Solid-State Battery Production Specialist

As a seasoned production specialist, you will oversee daily operations of our cutting-edge solid-state battery cell production line to optimize efficiency and yield. With extensive experience in managing high-volume manufacturing environments, you will monitor and troubleshoot complex production issues related to electrode coating, cell assembly, and sealing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Oversight: Implement process improvements to enhance cell performance, lifespan, and overall production quality by analyzing data from production lines and identifying areas for optimization and cost reduction.
  • Establish strict quality control measures throughout the production process, including in-line inspections and final product testing.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and specifications for solid-state batteries.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of production technicians, operators, and engineers responsible for cell assembly, providing training and development opportunities to staff on new technologies and procedures related to solid-state battery production.
  • Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of solid-state battery technology, including principles of solid electrolytes, electrode materials, and cell assembly processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with advanced manufacturing techniques such as roll-to-roll processing, laser cutting, and precision handling equipment.
  • Evaluate cell performance using electrochemical testing methods and identify areas for improvement.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with R&D teams to implement new cell designs and technology advancements into production lines, managing project timelines and budgets.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth production flow.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in lithium-ion battery manufacturing with a strong focus on cell assembly processes.
  • Proven track record in managing production teams within high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends for continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a diverse team and effectively collaborate with cross-functional departments.
