We are seeking an experienced Battery Energy Storage Systems expert to support the design and engineering of clean energy solutions.

This individual will be responsible for designing and sizing battery energy storage systems, creating Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), and working with battery and inverter technologies for residential, commercial & industrial (C&I), and utility-scale applications.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform battery sizing and capacity estimation based on project requirements.
  • Develop Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), load flow studies, and power system schematics.
  • Select appropriate batteries, inverters, and system components.
  • Understand technical specifications for lithium-ion batteries, energy density, DOD, SOC, IR, and other performance parameters.
  • Prepare technical documentation for battery energy storage systems, including design reports, layouts, SOPs, RFP, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and Specification.
  • Analyse battery degradation and lifecycle to assist in project lifecycle planning.
  • Engage with vendors for component sourcing, pricing, and ensuring compliance with design standards.
  • Review vendor documentation to match project requirements and integration needs.
  • Ensure that all designs comply with international standards and local regulations (e.g., IEEE, IEC, UL).
  • Stay updated on industry standards related to energy storage, grid integration, and electrical safety.
  • Collaborate with project teams for the implementation of battery energy storage solutions, providing engineering support throughout the project lifecycle.

Educational and Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in designing battery energy storage systems.
  • Strong knowledge of lithium-ion battery technologies and power conversion systems (PCS).
  • Experience in creating Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical layouts, and system schematics.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, UL).

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with industry-standard software for electrical design (e.g., ETAP, AutoCAD, Homer or similar).
  • Understanding of energy storage applications in residential, C&I, and utility segments.
