Energy Storage Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Energy Storage Engineer to support the design and engineering of battery energy storage systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative energy storage solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and engineer battery energy storage systems, including battery sizing, capacity estimation, and system configuration.
  • Develop Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), load flow studies, and power system schematics to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Select appropriate batteries, inverters, and system components to meet project requirements.
  • Understand technical specifications for lithium-ion batteries, including energy density, depth of discharge, state of charge, internal resistance, and other performance parameters.
  • Prepare technical documentation for energy storage systems, including design reports, layouts, standard operating procedures, request for proposals, bills of materials, and specifications.
  • Conduct analysis of battery degradation and lifecycle to inform project planning and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with vendors to source components, negotiate pricing, and ensure compliance with design standards.
  • Review vendor documentation to ensure alignment with project requirements and integration needs.
  • Ensure that all designs comply with international standards and local regulations, including IEEE, IEC, and UL.
  • Stay current with industry developments and advancements in energy storage, grid integration, and electrical safety.
  • Work closely with project teams to implement energy storage solutions, providing engineering support throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in designing energy storage systems.
  • Strong knowledge of lithium-ion battery technologies and power conversion systems.
  • Experience in creating Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical layouts, and system schematics.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including IEEE, IEC, and UL.
