Building Management Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled architect to design and develop advanced building management systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and architecting power electronics concepts, digital and analog circuit design, and microprocessor and microcontroller programming.

The following responsibilities must be met:

  • Design and develop BMS hardware system for battery energy storage domain
  • Develop state-of-the-art designing and layout with electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) aspects
  • Deliver modules/systems on-time, at quality
  • Provide solutions to complex use cases on a day-to-day basis
  • Work with cross-functional teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 12 - 14 years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience developing BMS for energy storage/energy storage systems
  • Rich hands-on experience in architecting power electronics concepts for BMS
  • Experience and strong design knowledge of digital circuit design, analog circuit design, ADC, DACs, OP Amps, micro-processors, micro-controllers & DSPs, etc.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for Li-ion batteries for energy storage application such as UL9540, UL1973, IEC62619, IEC 60730, etc
  • Knowledge of printed circuit board (PCB) layout constraints
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with analog front-end circuit design for Li-ion batteries
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience using simulation tools (for example P-Spice, Matlab, Mathcad)
  • Experience with failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and root cause analysis
  • Experience working with various sensing technologies (ex: temperature sensor, voltage sensor, etc.)
  • Experience working with hardware peripherals and communication circuit design
  • Experience in power supply design
  • Experience working with MOSFET driving

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of safety regulatory standards like IEC61508, ISO26262 when building HW designs
  • Contactors and relays
  • Working knowledge of safety-critical features like charge control, thermal control, fault detection, and diagnostics for battery and energy products
