Job Overview

The role of Senior Engineer – EV, Cell at a leading renewable energy and clean mobility solutions provider involves driving technical development, optimization, and execution of lithium-ion cell and battery module manufacturing processes.

  • Lead technical process development for lithium-ion cell manufacturing (coating, calendaring, slitting, stacking/winding, electrolyte filling, formation & aging).
  • Oversee battery module and pack assembly processes including cell sorting, welding (laser/ultrasonic), BMS integration, sealing, and end-of-line testing.
  • Drive process optimization to meet yield, quality, and safety targets.
  • Evaluate, install, and validate new manufacturing equipment and automation technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), PFMEAs, Control Plans, and SOPs.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) for process and quality issues.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for NPI, line setup, and pilot to mass production transitions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM tools to improve OEE, throughput, and cost efficiency.
Requirements:
  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • M.Tech or specialization in Energy Storage/Battery Technology is an advantage.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in lithium-ion cell manufacturing, battery pack assembly, or EV battery production.
