Job Title

BIM Design Specialist

We are seeking a skilled BIM Design Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating accurate, clear and concise project documents that meet best practice and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the production of high-quality project documents on time and within budget.
  • Assist in resolving complex technical drafting issues and provide expert advice to project team members.
  • Mentor junior team members in their development and assist in developing their full potential.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with project managers and stakeholders.
  • Familiarize yourself with relevant health and safety regulations and promote a culture of awareness within the team.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Hold a degree in Electronics and Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Have 5-8 years of experience in drafting, preferably in the design of water and waste water treatment plants.
  • Be proficient in Plant 3D, Auto CAD, Revit and other industry software.
  • Demonstrate expertise in P&ID, instrument symbol library, and instrumentation reports.
  • Previous experience in instrumentation design is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with international codes, standards and practices related to the USA, UK, and Middle East.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with good report writing, analytical and computer skills.
  • Experience working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
  • Adhere to BIM Execution Plan and BIM project workflow criteria.
  • Familiarize yourself with BIM content standards and development procedures.
