Job Description

As a Risk Management Professional for Merchant Acquiring, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security and integrity of merchant transactions.

Your primary responsibility will be to review transactions being processed at acquired merchants via various channels, including UPI, POS, and payment gateways. You will also be responsible for detecting fraudulent merchants and examining documents received from them in cases of escalations or observed fraud.

You will need to communicate and inform stakeholders across the unit on frauds and patterns observed, as well as inform rule creation for merchant monitoring based on these patterns. Additionally, you will be expected to stay abreast of fraud trends and MOs in the industry to prevent merchant fraud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review transactions and detect fraudulent activity
  • Examine documents and verify merchant information
  • Communicate with stakeholders and inform rule creation
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • 3+ years' experience in fraud monitoring and analysis
  • Good understanding of merchant acquiring, payment aggregator business, and UPI fraud
  • Strong handle on MS Excel - filters, pivot, charts, lookup, etc
  • Coding in SQL is a plus
  • Educational background in Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics preferable
