
Business Development Specialist

This is a key role within our team, responsible for expanding our customer base in the commercial accounts segment. The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring new customers and fostering strong relationships with them to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities- To identify and acquire new commercial account customers in the specified segment and ensure reference generation from the targeted catchment area.
- To source quality commercial accounts by analyzing product mix, segments, and constitution mix to meet sales targets.
- To provide exceptional customer service and support, including initial handholding, M+1 activation, and welcome kit delivery to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- To proactively register and activate acquired customers to direct banking channels, ensuring seamless access to products and services.
- To work closely with the Business Relationship Leader to conduct market analysis, provide regular feedback on opportunities and customer needs, and assist in catchment mapping and scoping exercises.
- To achieve defined sales targets by analyzing transaction banking needs of customers and developing strategies to meet their requirements.
- To adhere to internal and external regulatory guidelines and comply with sales norms and policies.
