About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for the end-to-end General Trade business of a defined territory.
  • You will implement the overall strategic sales plan, targets, and tools to monitor sales achievements.

Responsibilities

Overall Responsibility: You will be responsible for revenue through multiple distribution and retail channels in the respective states of India assigned to you.

Sales Strategy: Identify and build strategic partnerships that can help in incremental growth with a strong focus on margin.

Retail Presence: Build strong relationships with all General Trade Distributors and ensure a strong retail presence of all Harman Lifestyle SKUs.

Product Distribution: Source SKUs strategically and distribute them across channels.

Growth and Visibility: Maximize Harman's revenue growth and visibility.

Market Analysis: Participate in developing and updating Harman product choices for respective channels.

Customer Service: Keep yourself updated with the market and competition landscape.

Service and Replacement: Take complete ownership of service and replacements across channels and work with the support team to minimize these issues.

Marketing Support: Liaise with the marketing team to ensure all retail channels receive the required marketing support to sell Harman products.

Reporting: Ensure consistent growth in market penetration and brand visibility across the region. Maintain monthly reports of distributor purchases and sales for internal sales analysis.

Requirements

Experience: 8 years of progressive experience in sales business development roles across multiple markets.

Sales Experience: Extensive sales and distribution experience in multiple market sales required.

Preferred Industries: Electronics manufacturing, consumer electronics, computer hardware, automotive, and other relevant industries.

Strategic Ability: Strategically and operationally strong ability to synthesize complex information into a simple strategy then execute and communicate against it.

Consumer Orientation: Strong consumer product orientation keen understanding of consumer wants and needs which can be applied to creating market-winning retail sales strategies.

Planning and Organization: Solid planning and organizational skills.

Creativity: Demonstrated creativity and out-of-the-box thinking constantly pushing new ideas and programs to solve sales and market challenges.

Bonus Points: Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred.

Communication: Provides updated market feedback to the vertical market and target market specialists.

Administrative Proficiency: Strong administrative proficiency and customer liaison skills.

Liaising: Interfaces with sales and marketing to leverage their knowledge and efforts to maximize sales launches.

Work Environment

Travel Requirements: Be willing to travel up to 70% including domestic travel.

Work Location: Vijayawada Vishakhapatnam.
