Operational Procurement AssociateAbout the Role

This is a key role in our organization, focusing on operational procurement. You will be responsible for daily ordering of goods and services, following up on orders, and contacting suppliers to resolve delivery and commercial issues.

You will also manage purchase order creation, release, and follow-up, ensuring timely delivery to customers. Additionally, you will check unprocessed purchase requisitions, maintain purchasing data in our ERP system, and manage order confirmations from suppliers.

As an Operational Procurement Associate, you will work closely with various departments, including accounting, material planning, engineering, and plant SCM operations. Your primary objective will be to ensure seamless supply chain management and guarantee on-time delivery to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily ordering of goods and services
  • Following up on orders and resolving delivery and commercial issues with suppliers
  • Managing purchase order creation, release, and follow-up
  • Checking unprocessed purchase requisitions
  • Maintaining purchasing data in the ERP system
  • Managing order confirmations from suppliers
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have a graduate degree in Engineering or an equivalent field. A postgraduate degree in any stream is also desirable. In terms of experience, we require 2-3 years of relevant work experience for masters graduates and 2-3 years for bachelor's graduates.

Key skills and qualifications include purchasing experience in manufacturing or electrical industries, domain knowledge in Supply Chain Management, reporting and analysis skills, PO and supply management expertise, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

We also place a strong emphasis on soft skills, such as effective communication, presentation, and listening skills, German language proficiency (preferred), high learning agility, customer-centric approach, CI mindset, escalation management, solution provision, and effective collaboration.
