Job Summary

The Logistics Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining inventory levels, issuing materials to production, and allocating manpower for various tasks.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to production
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to avoid production stoppages
  • Train personnel to operate equipment effectively
Responsibilities
  1. Manage and maintain inventory levels of raw materials, assembly materials, personal protective equipment (PPE), and consumables in the shop floor as per production plans
  2. Issue materials from warehouses to production using material handling equipment such as RGVs, AGVs, Forklifts, BOPTs, HOPTs, Stalkers, Conveyors, etc.
  3. Allocate manpower for tasks like kitting, de-palletizing, palletising packing, material issues, internal scrap movement, etc.
  4. Conduct stock reconciliation, cycle counting, and variance analysis to ensure zero stock variance
  5. Move hazardous and non-hazardous scrap to designated areas
  6. Coordinate with internal stakeholders including production planning, process, maintenance, quality, IT contractors, and supply chain management to fulfill business requirements
  7. Ensure accurate entries and document maintenance in SAP as per standard operating procedures
  8. Maintain established standards
  9. Issue PPE and consumables
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics operations
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and material handling equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
