Job Responsibilities:
- Melted Steel in Ladle Refining Furnace (LRF), ensuring high-quality production of various steel grades.
- Coordinated steel production processes from induction furnace to LRF, guaranteeing efficient operation and minimal downtime.
- Generated detailed reports on daily production and monthly performance, facilitating data-driven decision making.
- Maintained and inspected store spare parts and incoming materials, optimizing inventory management and reducing waste.
- Improved manpower utilization and productivity through effective allocation of resources, leading to increased efficiency and reduced costs.
- Identified potential risks, developed risk response strategies, and ensured adherence to safety norms in the plant area, fostering a safe working environment.
- Served as an authorized member of the Safety Committee, contributing to the development of comprehensive safety protocols.
- Developed processes for different steel grades through AOD (Argon Oxygen Decarburization) furnace, enhancing product diversity and customer satisfaction.
- Gain extensive hands-on experience with Ladle Refining Furnace (LRF) in the alloy segment, refining skills and expertise.
- Experienced in secondary steel production at Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) of 35 MT capacity, LRF, and Vacuum Degassing (VD) furnaces.
- Proficient in handling Ladle and its refractory materials, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- Worked with various alloy grades such as Semi Free Cutting, Ball Bearing, Titanium, Low Carbon, Medium Carbon, Nickel, and Molybdenum heats.
- Familiar with Steel Making Shop (SMS) processes, applying knowledge to optimize production and reduce costs.
- Supervised furnace crew and controlled raw material costs during heat processing, maximizing profitability.
- Controlled heat processing according to ISO/TS standards, ensuring compliance and quality.
- Implemented preventive maintenance to avoid machine breakdowns, minimizing downtime and increasing efficiency.
- Coordinated with mechanical and electrical teams to ensure smooth shop operations and optimize production, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
- Planned pass schedules for different steel grades and managed related activities, streamlining production and improving quality.
- Analyzed performance and delay reports to improve utilization, driving business growth and success.
- Well-versed in ISO 9001 implementation and documentation formalities, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Ladle Refining Furnace Operation: Experience in operating LRF and understanding of steel production processes.
- Steel Production Management: Ability to coordinate steel production processes and manage inventory.
- Risk Management: Familiarity with risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, with ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
