Business Development Lead - Petrochemicals and Oil Rigs

Our organization is seeking a seasoned Business Development Lead to spearhead strategic growth initiatives in the petrochemicals and oil rigs sector.

  • Lead business development efforts for petrochemicals vertical, focusing on oil rigs and exploration assets.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue acquisition opportunities, particularly underperforming oil rigs in India and internationally.
  • Drive end-to-end M&A strategy from target identification through negotiations and integration.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of potential acquisition targets in coastal regions worldwide.
  • Forge strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the global petrochemical and oil exploration sector.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute deals smoothly.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify new growth avenues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in business development, M&A, or strategy in petrochemicals/oil & gas sector.
  • Proven track record of deal-making, especially with international assets or companies.
  • Deep understanding of upstream oil & gas operations, specifically rig operations.
  • Strong global network in petrochemical space, particularly in coastal countries with active oil rigs.
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • MBA or relevant technical qualification preferred.
