Procurement Specialist Job Description

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and supporting procurement activities within the organization. The key objective of this role is to ensure that procurement processes are carried out efficiently and effectively, resulting in cost savings and improved customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and assess vendor capabilities and propose best vendors for specific projects.
• Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to achieve target costs, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and competitive offerings.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and resolve issues related to quality, pricing, or delivery.
• Analyze data to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to optimize procurement operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a similar industry or role.
• Strong understanding of procurement principles, policies, and practices.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
