Lead Backend Engineer

This position requires a skilled professional to drive technical direction, lead engineering initiatives and mentor team members. They will ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable and secure backend solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop backend systems using Java and Spring Boot
  • Architect and implement scalable microservices and robust API designs
  • Guide the team in adopting best practices in backend development and system architecture
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical strategy with business objectives
  • Drive initiatives in CI/CD, performance optimization and system reliability
  • Mentor engineers and lead code reviews to uphold engineering excellence

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in backend development
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
  • Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, API design and microservices

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Docker, AWS, SQL/NoSQL, DDD (Domain-Driven Design), CI/CD and AI/ML integration
